Camper beam axles are predominantly used by camping and other small trailers and offer a faster and more economical method of building a trailer as they are simply welded or clamped to the chassis depending upon its design.
A 50mm x 25mm box section has either 250kg or 350kg rubber suspension units welded onto each end. Camper beam axles are generally supplied in a 3’ width, but are also available in any other width up to 4’ if required. The units welded either side of the box section determine the gross weight capacity.
Axles are kept in stock in a “no stub axle” format to respond to customers requirements quickly and to give the option of choosing either specific stub axles and unbraked hubs. Camper beam axles are available with standard and extended taper roller and metric stub axles.
A galvanised finish is available upon request, which is in accordance with the new European Standard BS EN ISO 1461.
